We’re focused on helping you activate your most invested community: investors and advisors.
That means protecting highly sensitive and confidential information so you can focus on just that — building without worrying about the safety of your data.
Two important things to know:
Why building trust is central to our mission
Everything we build is with creating a foundation of trust in mind. This means we don’t sell your data, read messages, or use your emails for targeted advertising. Your member list and emails are strictly for you and your team.
You need to have the utmost confidence that an investor communication tool is secure—and protect your valuable relationships in the process. The embarrassment of a product malfunction with high impact stakeholders is not lost on us, which is why trust and reliability are paramount to our product.
We are SOC 2 type 1 (Service Organization Control 2) compliant, a recognized standard for data security developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). This means that our policies and processes are secure, rigorous and have been thoroughly vetted.
What that means:
Trust: We protect your data. We secure your data and assets against unauthorized access and use.
Encryption: We provide secure, passwordless login for users authenticating via an email address and OAuth (Open Authorization) for users authenticating via Gmail. All tokens passed to Cabal are encrypted.
Reliability: We carefully monitor and assess all risk factors that could interrupt your service, and maintain our systems to ensure processing capacity.
We also passed a penetration test from a Google authorized vendor as part of Google Cloud Platform OAuth API verification process.
What else should I know about how Cabal keeps my data private?
In order to surface workflows that enable your stakeholders to help with warm intros, recruiting, and marketing, Cabal offers integrations with CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tools.
Salesforce & Hubspot: Cabal reads and writes data to Salesforce via the Salesforce REST API and to Hubspot via their CRM API. All security protections used in either CRM are upheld and enforced when Cabal accesses them.
